KNOWLEDGE Nyamhoka made the country proud when he brought the international kick boxing belt back home after smashing his opponents at the Desert Storm International competitions held in Namibia recently.

The Zimbabwe Kickboxing Association (ZKA) president, Tony Kamangira, congratulated Nyamhoka for lifting the country’s flag high.

“This is our first time as Zimbabwe Kick boxing Association to break a record since the formation of Zimbabwe Kickboxing. Also as the vice president for Africa Union Region five and ring contact fighting arts international representative ,l say it’s a great honor for the country,” Kamangira said.

The event carries the name Desert Storm and was hosted for the first time under the auspices of the Namibia Kickboxing Federation (NFK). Participants and spectators described the event as a huge success and of an international standard. Desert Storm is now an annual event.

Three Namibian Kick boxers became African Champions at the event.

More than 150 fighters from Namibia, Angola, Brazil, Zimbabwe, USA, Reunion and South Africa contested in this historic event.

Participants engaged in semi-contact, points, full contact, low kicks, Kata-series, fitness competitions, Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
