Bulawayo– Up-and-coming music producer and song writer, Professor Phili, better known as ProffMusiq in the music scene, has highlighted that the major obstacle in his way to stardom is lack of dedicated artists and vocalists.
He said he is confused as to why this is the case.
“Most of these upcoming artists are not serious about the music, I don’t know whether they lack motivation or its just laziness or they don’t see the importance of being in the industry,” ProffMusiq said.
As a newbie in the music scene, the Magwegwe West born and bred producer said he will not tolerate laziness and other pitfalls to stand in his way as music is his calling.
“My goal is to be the go-to guy… to be one of the best music producers to come out of the city of kings, to be one of the most sought-after music composers in the land and if God permits, my dreams will come true.”
He also revealed that although he is currently employed as a civil servant, he always finds time for his music.
“Despite the ever-busy work schedule owing to the nature of my job, I always make time to make music. Music is my life. It’s my passion.”
ProffMusiq has so far released two singles featuring Curs. He is currently working with him in a collaborative EP to be released soon.
His other single, hell of a life, has been received well by his handful of fans and ever since its release, his fan base has been growing.
He added that he is grateful for the support he is getting from his fans so far as a producer at his infancy stage.
