Bulawayo– Acclaimed South African chanter, Mlindo The Vocalist, will finally honour up for a date with his Bulawayo fans at BAC leisure. This comes after he had to cancel his debut in the city after the country plunged deep into an economic quagmire that saw the bond note losing value drastically.

Mlindo was one of the artists who was in public demand in the city last year.

He was supposed to perform in the annual Kalawa Home Coming party that is held every December.

His album, Emakhaya, dominated the airwaves, as the songs Amablesser, Amacala and uSukulude became one of the most popular played tracks during the festive season.

The Amablesser hit maker’s date with his Bulawayo fans has been warmly welcomed in Bulawayo as fans have promised to go to the show in numbers.

“The wait is finally over. Last year we were disappointed as Mlindo and other artists that were on the line up for the Kalawa home coming party pulled out at the eleventh hour. We have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time and we are happy that it has finally been availed to us,”said Gugulethu Manzini from Killarney.

For Buhle Moyo, Mlindo’s show is a must-attend.

“This is the first show that has caught my attention this year, I can’t miss this one. Mlindo was one of the reasons I was looking forward to last year’s home coming party which ended up not happening. I will definitely attend the show,” she said.

The show is slated for February 23.
