Mberengwa- The Zanu-PF Mberengwa charter held massive celebrations at Buchwa business center, commemorating their victory in the harmonised elections of July 31.

The ruling party recorded a landslide victory in this district against a host of political parties which participated in the general elections, pocketing all house of assembly seats and more than 90% of local governance seats.

The festivity was graced by the Deputy Secretary for Youth in Zanu- PF and Politburo member, Lewis Matutu, as the guest of honour. Other bigwigs in the district such as Chief Mataruse and Dr Cummings Hove were also in attendance.

Matutu thanked the people for showing their confidence in Zanu-PF as they resoundingly voted in the elections earlier this year and promised the party  will deliver their election promises.

“This was a good achievement that is why we are celebrating it today and we are working flat out to bring everything to normal, but today is a celebration day let’s celebrate our victory it’s your day,” he said.

Zvomukonde B District Chair, Praymore Ndlela, also thanked the people for the emphatic victory in which they collected everything that was on offer.

“Today we have gathered here to celebrate a victory that you people initiated, it wasn’t easy but you supported us as we had stiff competition but we won against all odds and today is a day of celebrating you and we hope we will keep this united front until 2023.”
