Bulawayo– For the first time in their careers, Jeyz Marabini will share the stage with Hwabaraty in a show slated for tomorrow at the newly opened Signature bar and restaurant.

The duo will be live from 7pm-10 pm.

This will be the second show Jeyz performs in Bulawayo this month, after sharing the stage with Mukanya at the large city hall last week.

Despite his electric performance that has cemented Jeyz as the city’s jazz tycoon, the last show featuring the Chimurenga muso,Thomas Mapfumo, was not well attended as less than 300 people turned out.

Mukanya also managed to leave the crowd in awe after perfoming his song ‘disaster’ and other chimurenga chants that made him unpopular in the Mugabe regime.

Jeyz will be hoping for a better turn out this time around as he is performing with one of the city’s very own sons.

The fusion of youngster Hwabaraty and seasoned Marabini is likely to attract fans of different ages and musical tastes.

“I am going to be attending the show with my father who fancies Marabini ,while I will be looking forward to see what Hwabaraty has for us the youth,”said Makhosi Ncube from Nkulumane.

Ncube added that he is happy with the packed festive as every weekend counts during this period

“It makes me happy that our local artists are also utilizing this period to make sure when everyone is in the celebration mood.”
