BULAWAYO giants Highlanders FC to unveil their latest guns in front of their home crowd, at the Barbourfields Stadium this Sunday.
Prince Dube and Bukhosi Sibanda will be availed to the Bosso faithfuls and followers at Emagumeni in a Castle PSL encounter against Bulawayo City.
Dube signed a two-year deal, while Sibanda penned a one year deal with the Bulawayo giants in a bid to end the club’s strike force deficit.
The duo was in South Africa for a year, with Dube opting out of Super Sport United to resuscitate his career, while Sibanda quit Cape Town-based First Division club Ubuntu.
The #BuyPrinceDube campaign was launched late last month and the Highlanders gaffer Madinda Ndlovu indicated that the introduction of the duo would fit perfectly into the club rebuilding exercise program as their both 21 years old.
Addressing the media in a weekly press conference, Highlanders Chief Executive Officer, Nhlanhla Dube revealed that Dube will be unveiled to the fans before the league match against Bulawayo City at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.
“We launched the campaign after a request from our fans and we have brought the boy home so this Sunday we want to formally present him to the supporters,” Dube said.
The #BuyPrinceDube campaign has raised just over $2 500, with a Harare-based Highlanders’ member recently donating $1 500.
Dube also revealed that the #BuyPrinceDube campaign which had set a nine day deadline is still open as some South African groups are still sourcing funds.
“We are still giving it a little bit of more time just to allow those that are still sourcing something to come through. I know the South African and Harare chapters are still doing something so we are still open, we haven’t really closed yet,” he said.
Dube said all the money will be accounted for transparently and those that want receipts for their contributions were free to visit the club’s offices in Bulawayo.
